Editorial

In this project we are going to demonstrate why the Olympic Games are not good for a hosting city. The games are neither good for the hosting city or country. It brings great economic expense, and it may also affect the international aspect of the country. An example of this problem is the games in Athens 2004, because until now they can’t afford to pay the expenses of the event. Another example of this problem is that Montreal which hosted the games over 30 years ago (1976) has just finished paying the stadiums! Hosting the Olympics now-a-days has become a problem.
In conclusion to this investigation, we have determined with the mentioned paragraph that hosting the Olympic Games can bring various costs and problems. The games are just a big money pit. Olympic Games are today one of the various reasons for previous hosting countries to be in bankrupt.

In the other side we have:

In this paper we will talk about the hosting of the Olympic Games benefits for the country. Hosting the Olympic Games increases the incomes of tourism. This helps the economy of the country. The ticket sales and hotel bookings get bigger and stronger. As time passes the price of hosting keeps getting higher. Making the country one of the most powerful and rich countries of the world.
The Olympic Games can become a good source of money for the country. The benefits are divided into two major groups, the short term, or long term money flows. The number of visitors increases so the incomes of tourism also increase. Visitors may go to the Olympics, visit museums, stay in hotels, etc. Then the country starts getting international attention through the media coverage. The country can use the money gained from the Olympic Games for the creation of educational youth programs. There can also be more job creations.
Hosting the Olympic Games can be seen as a “economic boost” to the country because of the high money flow you constantly get during and after the Olympic Games.
